Earlier this week I published an article on Code Project about Active Dynamic Backgrounds for Silverlight. These are backgrounds that react to the users mouse movements.

I have just finished phase one of my integration of Active Dynamic Backgrounds into the User Experience Platform (UXP) for Project Ruby. This includes being able to show two tabs with the active dynamic backgrounds, being able to pass the background brush through from the view where you are using the background. I am having trouble with passing the shape through the visual tree, however that will be resolved soon. All of the shapes default to the Rectangle.

Download the current copy of the User Experience Platform for Genesis v2.0, which is nothing more than a PRISM shell ready for your own modules.
